The nickel content of the alloy 825 is resistant to chloride stress corrosion cracking. Nickel in combination with molybdenum and copper alloy tube 825 also causes great resistance to the reducing environment (e.g., sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid containing environment). Resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion is one of the main advantages of molybdenum. Chromium content is resistant to various oxidizing agent (e.g. nitric acid, nitrates and oxides salt). Titanium is usually subjected to heat treatment, the alloy can be stabilized to prevent susceptibility to intergranular corrosion.
