2507 Super Duplex stainless steel is a high-alloy duplex which PRE (pitting resistance equivalence) value of at least 42.5. The steel grade with very good characteristics of resistance to chloride corrosion, and high mechanical strength. It is particularly suited to a corrosive environment, for example, warm water and an acid chloride, the chloride-containing media. It is widely used in offshore oil and gas exploration and petrochemical processing in the heat exchanger. It also applies to tropical marine environment of hydraulic and instrumentation applications.
