Raymond mill, also known as R-type Raymond mill, is a new efficient grinding machine using the closed-cycle method. It is widely used to grind all kinds of non-metallic ores.

Working Principle:
Raymond mill is mainly composed of main engine, an analyzer, a draught fan, a finished product cyclone separator, a fine powder cyclone separator and an air hose.
The main body consists of a frame, an air inlet volute, a shovel, a grinding roller, a grinding ring, and a shell.
The jaw crusher crushes large pieces of material into smaller particles within the feed size of the Raymond roller mill. The discharging materials, after passing through the bucket elevator, are sent into the storage hopper and vibrating screen for being evenly and continuously ground in the main crushing chamber.

Difference between Raymond mill and ball mill
Processing different materials
Raymond mill is suitable for processing non-metallic materials that are not too hard, such as limestone, gypsum, calcium carbonate; ball mills can process metal materials and hard materials such as potassium feldspar, quartz, metal ores, etc.
Processing method
Raymond mill can only be used for dry grinding, which has a requirement of the material on the humidity; the ball mill can be used for wet grinding, so there is no limit to the materials on the humidity.
Different Output
The maximum output of Raymond mill is only 20-30 tons per hour, while the output of ball mill is between 0.65 tons and 615 tons per hour.
Discharging granularity
Raymond mill has a uniform particle size and does not need other equipment for screening; ball mill has an uneven discharge, so the finished powder needs to be sieved by powder separator.
Grinding fineness
Raymond mill can process a finer powder and produce even product with the fineness 800 mesh while the ball mill can only reach 400 mesh.
Much noise produced
The noise of Raymond mill is much lower than that of the ball mill.
Raymond mill spare parts
The main wearing parts of raymond mill are grinding roller and ring and the lifting shovel. All of them are made of high wearable high manganese alloy Mn13Cr2.

Installation drawing
For each raymond mill we sold, we will offer the customer installation drawing before installation. If customer needs, we will also send engineer to local site for installation and commissioning guidance.
