The type tubing perforator (tubing punch) is a mechanical device designed to perforate standard and heavy wall tubing under pressure.The tubing perforators are available for tubing size 2-3/8＂through 4-1/2＂.

III. Structural features

The tubing perforator is mainly composed of the body, housing, punch holder, punch, bushing , catch, spring, bottom contactor, etc.There are two slopes on the body which are used to pull the body and make the punch move at the radial direction. The punch holder is used to provide movement track for the body, and the punch is installed on it. The upper part of the housing is equipped with slip insert which can bite on the inner wall of tubing. The spring and catch are installed on the body to lock the body on the housing after punching. When the tubing perforator is at the initial position, the body and the housing are fixed with the shear pin to prevent the punch from being exposed.
