Describe:
HDD drill pipe is a tool suitable for transmitting driller torque and tension during directional drilling construction. Due to the torsion, tension, bending, friction and vibration in the directional construction process, the requirements on the processing technology are very strict.

 

1. The material is made of high-performance alloy steel that meets the American API standards, and has passed strict inspections such as chemical composition, metallographic structure, geometric dimensions, and non-destructive testing to ensure stable product quality.
2. The heat treatment adopts oven-type automatic furnace treatment, and then straightens with a 6-roll straightener, overall hardness test and ultrasonic test.
3. The tool joints are processed by a 1500T precision forging press to ensure the quality of the joints and have high compactness, cleanliness, wear resistance, and excellent mechanical properties of homogeneity.

The raw materials selected by our company are all the alloy structure steels for geographical usage produced by Baogang Steel. After laboratory tests, after laboratory tests, both ends of a pipe are upsetted and proceeded to overall heat treatment, then friction welded. Before finished drill pipes are plated and packaged, a series of tests have to be implemented including hardness, metallurgical structure, physical performances, etc.
