Motorized Conveyor Drive Pulley
Conveyor Pulley are classified according to their size. There are large ones, such as those used in papermaking machinery, and small ones, such as flat Pulley used for belt conveyors on automatic assembly lines. In addition to dividing them by size, they can also be divided by function, like ensuring delivery. Why Use Pulley Lagging?
Pulley lagging is a layer of material bonded to the surface of a conveyor pulley. The pulley lagging is used to protect the conveyor pulley surface from damaging, increase the friction with the conveyor belt, extend the service life of the conveyor belt and conveyor pulley.
There are several different types of pulley lagging, such as plain rubber pulley lagging sheet, diamond pulley lagging sheet and ceramic pulley lagging sheet. Each type of pulley lagging sheet has different variations, specifications and are used for a variety of purposes.

Drive/Head Pulley – A conveyor pulley used for the purpose of driving a conveyor belt. Typically mounted in external bearings anddriven by an external drive source.
Return/Tail Pulley – A conveyor pulley used for the purpose of redirecting a conveyor belt back to the drive pulley.
Tail pulleys can utilize internal bearings or can be mounted in external bearings and are typically located at the end of the conveyor bed.
Snub Pulley – A conveyor pulley used to increase belt wrap around a drive pulley, typically for the purpose of improving traction.
Take - Up Pulley– A conveyor pulley used to remove slack and provide tension to a conveyor belt. Take-Up pulleys are more common to conveyors of longer lengths.
Bend Pulley – A conveyor pulley used to redirect the belt and provide belt tension where bends occur in the conveyor system.
