The process of transferring our rock slates :
Sublimation on a Rock Slate with a Heat Press
Application Instructions :
1. Set temperature to 175 degrees Celsius.(347 degrees Fahrenheit)
2. Set timer to 300-400 seconds depending on the rock slate size. The larger the rock slate, the longer the time should be.
3. Set Pressure at medium-heavy. Use caution as the rock slate can crack with too much pressure.
4. Print a mirror image onto sublimation paper. Image should be larger than the substrate.
5. Place the substrate face down on the transfer paper and tape the paper to the substrate using transfer release tape.
6. Place substrate face up on the heat press.
7. Cover with a piece of fabric (cut tshirt) to protect the coating of the rock slate.
8. Then cover with a silicon pad.
9. Press at 175 degrees Celsius(347 degrees Fahrenheit) for 300-400 seconds with medium-heavy pressure.
10. Remove immediately from press once finished and peel hot. Use caution as rock slate will be very hot.
