Application scope:
This Wheelset mounting cell is mainly applicable for the automatic assembly of EMU and Metro wheelsets with gearbox, also for the mounting of the wheels and brake discs for passenger cars. One positioning to proceed the mounting of both wheels and brake discs.
The Wheelset Assembly Cell mainly consists of:
- 1 set of wheelset press with double cylinders
- 1 set of Wheel (brake disc) conveyor line
- 1 set of Axle conveyor line
- 1 set of manipulator for picking wheels and brake discs.
- 1 set of wheel pverturning and pre-assembly machine
- 1 set of wheelset transferring trolley for transferring the wheelset from pre-assembly machine to the wheelset press
- 1 set of wheelset transferring trolley for transferring the wheelset out from the wheel press.

Performance Features of the Wheel Mount Press:
- Automatically mount the 2 wheels on the same axle simultanously without turning the axle and in a sequence first the wheel at one side of the axle then the wheel at the other side
- Automatically control the inner distance and wheel position tolerance.
- Siemens S7-300 PLC and AdvanTech Industrial computer to control and achieve the fully automatic pressing operation.
- Both automatic and manual mode are available.
- The wheelset press can track and control the whole process, detect the pressing condition of the
wheelset, and analyze and process it through industrial computer. It can export the pressure vs displacement curve and other results onto the screen and printer. - The measurement unit will automatically detect and collect the relevant data and display it on the screen.
