1.Is it strong on home construction to protect new laminate floor?

 

Answer:

Yes, It is as strong as the typical thick board. About 1.0mm thickness. Very good for a painter and also the same for floor protection. I needed it more for a paint situation so good for me and my project. I see the thick board now sells as painter's version probably the same price .

I bought this BTO-board to protect our wood floors when moving in to our newly built home and it did a great job. It never ripped or wore. I was pleasantly surprised at how thick it was.

 

2.Would this work on stairs?

 

Answer:

Yes. It would work but it would be necessary to crease the material in order for it to conform to the stairs and then the edges taped with white or breath tape to keep it in position. If you are working on carpeted stairs, I would recommend an adhesive film on a roll that does not leave a residue. It works great and with thicker films, they are quite tough. Cheers
