Uneven wear of friction material can lead to imbalance of clutch plate and permanent partial transmission as complete friction surface will not be in contact with flywheel. The weared out material chips can accumulate in spaces between friction material meant for cooling. Thus partial engagement can lead to inefficient cooling of clutch. This creates various other issues.
