If you cannot avoid slipping, due to slow moving traffic, do so with minimum heat generation. That is to slip with minimum contact pressure. This is possible only if slipping is restricted to the first gear. If you slip in higher gears, you slip with higher contact pressure and hence more heat and wear of clutch takes place. I have not replaced the clutch plates for over twenty years. The last clutch replacement was caused by water getting into the clutch assembly, when the car was driven through the flooded streets of Mumbai. The contaminated water caused the plates to stick together by gumming.

A: We can supply the sample if we have ready parts in stock, but the customers have to pay the sample cost and the courier cost.
