Points of ITI Straumann Bone Level Healing Cap:

Nine different healing abutments are manufactured for regular connection (RC) implant/abutment platform diameter implants. Two cone shaped emergence profiles of 4.5mm (Fig.5 top row) and 6mm (Fig.5 bottom row) in three heights (2, 4, 6mm) each. Two bottle neck geometry abutments (Fig.6) in heights of 4mm and 6mm. The narrow end of the bottle neck is positioned towards the gingival crest and results in a under dimensioned emergence profile of the soft tissue.
 

This feature is intended to aide in the creation of a papilla at the time of final abutment installation. The larger emergence profile of the final abutment will displace the soft tissue in all directions and may necessitate a releasing incision of the tissue at the time of delivery.

One acrylic body healing abutment with a diameter of 7mm to create a custom emergence profile is also part of the healing abutment offering from Straumann®. All RC abutments are color coded purple in compliance with the platform identification color scheme of bone level implants. The same Torx (SCS) driver may be utilized for all platform diameter components.
