UCLA abutments (Fig.16, GoldAdapt™) for all four platform diameters consist of a machined gold alloy implant/abutment interface and a plastic cylinder processed on to the gold portion of the abutment. The color coding scheme follows the prevailing color coding system (fuchsia 3.5, yellow 4.3, blue 5.0, green 6.0) for platform diameter identification. Each platform diameter UCLA is offered as a engaging (indexed) version for single restorations and a non engaging (non indexed) version for splinted substructures. Final screws are included with each GoldAdapt™ abutment to make a complete kit.
