Points of Biomet 3i Certain® internal hex Analogue:

Fixture level analogs (Fig.2) for Biomet 3i™ internal hex implants are color coded purple (3.4mm catalog # IMMILA), blue (4.1mm catalog # IILA20), yellow (5.0mm catalog # IILAW5) and green (6.0mm catalog # IILAW6). The internal hex indexing feature, regardless of the analog diameter is machined to the same dimension with the exception of the 3.4mm platform analog. This feature would leave the option to mount a 4.1mm analog to a 6.0mm impression coping (transfer) and still be able to use a correct 6.0mm abutment on the model for example. 4.1, 5.0 and 6.0mm analogs are machined with a hex at the internal coronal portion (primary indexing feature) and a double hex (secondary indexing feature) further inside the analog allowing twelve positions for stock angled abutments. 3.4mm platform analogs are machined with a double hex (duodegon) and will allow 12 different seating positions of straight and angled abutments.
