The voltage of MV XLPE electrical cable is up to 35KV. The xlpe cable has many characteristics such as high electric strength, mechanical strength, anti-chemical corrosion etc. So the xlpe cables has been used in indoor, tunnel, canal, power plant etc. for power distribution.

Conductor: Copper or Aluminum
Insulation: Crosslinked Polyethylene (XLPE) 
Inner sheath: Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC)
Armour: Double Steel Tape (DSTA), Galvanized Steel Wire (SWA), Aluminum Wire Armoured (AWA)
Outer Sheath: Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC)
 
 

 
4. Characters of Medium Voltage XLPE Insulated Electrical Cable:
 
a. Max. Long-time operating temperature: 90°C
b. Max. short-circuit temperature: not exceed 250°C in 5 Second
c. Installing temperature of cable: not less than 0°C
d. Unable be laid without the limit of fall with enough mechanical pull. Single core cable can not be laid in iron tube or fixed by circled iron tools around cables.
