Carbide tap, straight flute carbide taps
Carbide straight flute tap is generally used for thread tapping in lathe, drilling machine and tapping machine. It is the most general tap with the lowest price and the lower cutting speed. In tapping high hardness materials, materials which are easy to cause tap wear, materials in powder form by cutting, short depth through hole and blind hole, straight flute taps perform well. The cutting cone part can have 2p,4p or 6p. The short cutting flute is used for blind hole and the long flute is used for through hole. As long as the bottom hole is deep enough, we should try to choose a longer cutting flute taps so that there are more teeth to share the cutting load to get a longer service life.
