 Process: hydrolysis process
The definition of hydrolyzed feather meal for feed is: the feathers of poultry carcasses and the stalks screened after making down products, which are powdered and granular materials made by washing, high temperature and high pressure hydrolysis treatment, drying and crushing.
In the hydrolysis technology, the feather is subjected to high temperature and high pressure hydrolysis treatment to break the disulfide bond (-S-S) and sulfur hydrogen bond in the protein feed structure, so that the protein in the feather is partially hydrolyzed, and the chemical structure of the feather fiber is changed. Convert it into reusable protein feed, so as to improve the protein utilization rate of protein feed, improve the palatability and flowability of protein feed, and be easily digested by livestock and poultry.
