HX steelmaking furnace is used in short process steelmaking process, using 100% scrap and hot metal(big iron), or scrap and sponge iron (DR) as raw materials.

Modern steelmaking electric furnace has widely adopted new technologies such as water cooled furnace cover, water cooled furnace wall, conductive lateral arm and electric bottom (EBT) tapping. With comprehensive energy utilization technology, furnaces of carbon steel lance and furnace door cluster oxygen lance are used for two times burning of CO in molten pool, making full use of chemical energy in flue gas to reduce electricity consumption and build foamed slag; and using high impedance technology to raise two when the secondary voltage is increased, the electric power is relatively electrode consumption are reduced, and the effective input of electric power is improved.
