  • Prevent harsh impacts or extreme vibrations that can cause damage

Safety Instructions
  • Do not submerge the battery in water
  • Do not insert batteries with (+) and (-) terminals reversed
  • Do not disassemble, dispose in fire, heat, or short circuit
  • Do not expose batteries to direct sunlight for extended periods
  • Keep batteries away from children
  • Do not short circuit the battery under any circumstances
  • Fully charge new batteries before first use - do not discharge initially
  • Do not open the battery safety valve
  • Do not violently wrest the screws on the terminals
  • Do not mix different brands of batteries in one pack

Some cells may have minor scratches from transportation, which do not affect performance.

Why top balancing LiFePO4 cells is essential before building battery packs:

Regardless of cell grade (A, B, C) or condition (new/used), initial balancing is crucial to bring all cells to the same state of charge. Voltage readings alone are unreliable for determining state of charge in LiFePO4 chemistry due to their flat charge/discharge curve.

Importance of Initial Balance:

  • Ensures accurate capacity test results
  • Prevents premature BMS triggering due to cell voltage variations
  • Identifies problematic cells with high internal resistance
  • Natural parallel balancing can take weeks or months
  • Manual top balancing is recommended for large battery banks or varying cell conditions

For optimal performance and longevity, perform manual top balancing regardless of initial voltage readings, especially when dealing with large loads or capacity balancing requirements.
