The spinel structure of lithium titanate has minimal lattice parameter change (from 0.836 to 0.837 μm) with only 0.3% volume change, providing excellent cycle stability. In comparison, graphite materials experience 10% volume change during charging/discharging, leading to pulverization and reduced cycle life.
