Sunphase L, a liquid phytase, can contribute to enhancing the phosphorus utilization in feed, and improving the productive performance of animals.

Phytase

As a crucial minerals in the formulation of diets, phosphorus is important for the growth and productive performance of animals. The sources of phosphorus is extensive, such as plant ingredients, minerals, etc. However, the major storage form of phosphorus is phytate in the many plant ingredients, such as soybean meal, corn, etc., and the phytate phosphorus is hard to be utilized by mono-gastric animals due to the lack of endogenous phytase. The phytate can not only hinder the utilization of phosphorus, but hinder the utilization of other nutrients, such as minerals, protein, etc. The supplement of exogenous phytase can contribute to degrading the phytate in plant ingredients and enhancing the utilization of nutrients.

Why is the liquid phytase needed ?

Depending on different requirements on feed types, there is a process of heat pelleting with high temperature in feed pelleting, which would be a challenge to phytase, also some other heat sensitive feed additives. To avoid the huge losses of activity in the high temperature heating process, liquid phytase can be supplemented by post-spraying after the feed pelleting process, which would conduce to functioning effectively for phytase.
