Stonezyme D15 is a highly concentrated neutral cellulase powder for stone washing and biopolishing.
Biopolishing is a process of using cellulases for surface modification of cellulosic fabrics to reduce the hairiness and increase the resistance to pilling. This is achieved by the hydrolysis of cellulose, eliminating the superficial microfibrils of the cotton fibers.
Cellulase refers to a class of enzymes produced by fungi and bacteria that catalyzes the hydrolysis of cellulose by attacking the glycosidic linkages.
