Peppawell FDU contains highly-selected strains of bacteria, our science-based products have been shown to promote healthy intestinal function, while keeping potentially harmful bacteria in check. By producing digestive enzymes, they also improve the availability of absorbable nutrients from feed.
Probiotics have several mechanisms of action such as acidifying intestinal content; attachment to the intestinal epithelial surfaces to prevent pathogen attachment; competing for nutrients with pathogens; production of bacteria- toxins, and production of inhibitory substances, such as organic acids and hydrogen peroxide.
