Oil separator is an important part to ensure the normal operation of air compressor.
The quality of oil separator will affect the service life of air compressor.

When you have an oil carry-over problem and suspect an oil separator problem, you should do a basic check

• If there is a large amount of oil in the oil separator, it is a scavenging failure.
• If the oil level at the bottom of the element is above 5 cm, this indicates that the separator is beginning to saturate, which means that the filter medium is full of oil.
• If the separator feels heavy, looks dark, and is saturated from bottom to top, then it's really time to replace the oil separator.
• This can only be measured when the compressor load is running and can be checked for differential pressure, which should not exceed 0.2 to 0.3 bar under load.
