(1) Alarm light

When a physiological or technical alarm occurs, this indicator flashes as described below.

■ High priority alarm: The indicator flashes red quickly.

■ Medium priority alarm: The indicator flashes yellow slowly.

■ Low priority alarm: The indicator is yellow and does not flash.

The monitor can be configured with one of the following modules.

■ SmarTempTM module: measures the expected temperature.

■ THP79JU module: measures ear temperature.

■ GeniusTM 2 module: Measures the temperature of the eardrum.

(4) AC indicator

■ On: indicates that the monitor is connected to power.

■ Off: Indicates that the monitor is not connected to power.

(5) power switch

■ Press this button to turn on the monitor.

■ When no parameters are measured, press this button to enter standby mode.

■ When the monitor is on, press and hold this button for more than 2 seconds to turn off the monitor.

The switch has a built-in display. It turns on when the monitor is on and turns off when the monitor is off.

(6) Battery indicator

■ Solid: Indicates the battery is installed and power is connected.

■ Off: Indicates that the battery is not installed.

■ Flashing: Indicates the monitor is running on battery power.

(7) Alarm reset button

■ Press this button to turn off the sound of the current alarm.

■ Press and hold this button for more than 2 seconds to pause or resume the alarm.

(8) Start/Stop button for non-invasive blood pressure

Press this button to start or stop NIBP measurement.

(9) Accept patient key

■ Press this button to admit new patients.

■ Press this button to return to the home screen.

(10) Button

■ Turn the knob clockwise or counterclockwise to move the cursor.

■ Press the button to select an item, for example to access a menu or confirm a selection.
