► Display Assembly
The Display assembly contains the:
• LCD monitor: Flat panel color monitor with 640 x 480 pixels, illuminated by cold cathode fluorescent lamps.
• Backlight converter: Power for the display backlight comes from the PCA, the backlight converter.
■ LCD display
All display functions are handled by the PCA processor. Display formats, images, waveforms, values, and messages are generated and formatted by the PCA processor using data it has or receives from other parts of the device. The LCD display takes this digital data from the processor and converts it into pixels on the screen.
■ Backlight inverter
The display also has a backlight, which is powered by the PCA backlight converter. The PCA backlight converter converts DC power from the system power supply to high voltage AC power. The PCA backlight inverter is part of the display.
