The power supply subsystem converts the output voltage of AC/DC unit and battery voltage to various supply voltages for the electronics of monitor. It provides:

• 3.3V power for monitor system

• 15V power for UMBC

• 9V and 15V power for LCD interface board

► Power supply section

Power to the electronic components on the circuit boards is provided by switching power supplies connected to high-voltage isolation

transformers. The switching power supplies of the STP and ECG circuit boards are synchronized to the frequency of the switching power supply

of the NIBP circuit board (approximately 340 kHz). The NIBP circuit board supplies the ECG and STP circuit boards with a non-isolated 5V

voltage. The module uses only the chassis voltage Vmod, which is 13.8 to 16 V.

The other voltages of the measurement circuit board are generated by switching power supplies and regulators or linear regulators. The

measurement circuit board is protected against overload by an automatic fuse of the PTC type.

Power supply -The device must be connected to a properly installed power outlet with only one protective grounding contact. If there is any doubt

about the integrity of the protective grounding conductor, disconnect the monitor from the power line and use a battery option if available. All

devices in the system must be connected to the same power circuit. Devices not connected to the same circuit must be electrically isolated during

operation.
