Battery maintenance

To accurately balance the battery capacity, regular battery maintenance is required. The frequency of battery maintenance can be set in the service tool. The battery maintenance mode detects a possible loss of capacity (e.g. due to aging of the battery pack) and then recalculates the capacity/running time. If battery maintenance is not performed after a long period of storage or operation, it may happen that the battery warning time can no longer be met. In this case, battery maintenance is required. To initiate the discharge process, the message "Battery maintenance" and the button are displayed after the pump is turned off. Press Kandu and the discharge process begins. Interrupt the process by turning the pump back on. If you want to continue battery maintenance, you must activate it again. After the battery is completely discharged, it will be fully charged again. The total duration of the battery maintenance process is approximately 12 hours.

Optimum lifespan can only be achieved if the battery is fully discharged from time to time. A built-in maintenance mode is used for this battery maintenance. This function should be activated once a month. Additionally:

• If an incompletely discharged battery is charged multiple times, its capacity may decrease.

• Under normal temperature conditions, the battery can be charged and discharged for about 2 hours. After 500 times, the lifespan will be shortened.

• If the pump is not connected to the mains, the battery will slowly discharge. This can occur even when the pump is not running.

• Battery life is only achieved when the pump is running

A fully charged battery can be used continuously at room temperature.
