Description

Bipolar high-frequency wires are mainly used in medical surgery, especially as accessories in high-frequency surgical equipment and radiofrequency surgical equipment. Bipolar high-frequency wires are usually used with high-frequency/radiofrequency surgical equipment to perform operations such as cutting, ablation and coagulation of tissues during surgery.

High-frequency current is delivered through two electrodes, each with a small surface area, and the current passes through the tissue between the two electrodes, forming a high current density, thereby generating a thermal effect in the tissue between the two electrodes. This design limits the surgical effect to the area between the two electrodes, does not require a large area return electrode, and reduces damage to surrounding tissues.
