1. Check the integrity of the device

2. Patient preparation

The patient remains seated or lying flat, with the arm relaxed and level with the heart.

Expose the upper arm or ensure that the clothing is not tight (to avoid affecting the measurement).

3. Wrap the cuff correctly

Wrap the cuff around the patient's upper arm with the tracheal interface facing down (towards the palm).

The lower edge of the cuff is about 2-3 cm (about two horizontal fingers) away from the antecubital fossa.
