Description

Dräger 6872130 WaterLock 2 is a two-layer hydrophobic membrane made of two hydrophobic microporous PTFE membranes. These membranes with a pore size of 0.2 μm provide optimal protection for sensitive gas measurement systems. However, the measured gas can pass through the membrane with minimal pressure loss and is sucked in by the pump. This double membrane protection system prevents condensation of sample gas and purge gas. Even if the sample line falls into the secretion aspiration system (e.g. when changing patients), water cannot enter the gas measurement system.

Two self-sealing filter elements increase safety: if they are blocked, the filter element turns blue. One filter removes moisture from the gas before it enters the infrared optical sensor. The second gas flow is sucked in via a water tank, where a second filter is used to remove moisture from the first filter. This prevents the water trap from clogging in the worst case. The precision geometry of the filter housing has been optimized to ensure a fast response and efficient water drainage.

Very easy to use, just remove the WaterLock 2 from the holder, insert the syringe into the connector and suck out the water. The double membrane and the specially developed membrane material effectively prevent any bacteria or germs from entering the gas measurement system.
