Mindray Passport2 ECG Board 0388-00-1153

ECG Board 0388-00-1153 0670-00-1153_B Used Good Medical Part for Mindray Datascope Passport2 Patient Monitor

1. Brief Description

The Mindray Datascope Passport2 Monitor ECG Board 0388-00-1153 is a crucial component of this device. As a small and compact monitor, it boasts multiple functions, including monitoring patients' electrocardiogram (ECG) data. This board displays the monitored data as waveforms on the device's screen for healthcare professionals to reference, aiding in their analysis and assessment of the patient's condition and enabling appropriate clinical decisions.

► 3. ECG Monitoring

  • An ECG is a continuous waveform of a patient's cardiac electrical activity. The ECG waveform will be displayed in the first waveform area on the Passport 2 device.
  • The quality of the ECG signal is directly affected by electrode patch skin preparation, electrode patch quality, and ECG lead placement. The presence of artifacts in the ECG waveform can affect the quality of arrhythmia handling, alarm handling, and monitoring functions. The presence of artifacts can prevent the monitor from establishing an accurate ECG reference waveform, thus increasing the difficulty of assessing cardiac rhythm.
  • Optimizing the ECG signal is crucial for accurate monitoring. Use high-quality electrodes designed to acquire ECGs with excellent baseline stability, post-defibrillation recovery, and minimal patient movement artifacts.

► 4. Lead Plecement

(1) Standard 3-wire Lead Sets:

Three-line leads can monitor one of the three ECG vectors (I, II, or III). Recommended placement of the three-line leads is as follows.

• Place the RA (white) electrode below the patient's right clavicle, within the rib cage along the midclavicular line.

• Place the LA (black) electrode below the patient's left clavicle, within the rib cage along the midclavicular line.

• Place the LL (red) electrode in the patient's left lower abdomen, within the rib cage.

(2) Standard 5-wire Lead Sets:

A five-lead electrocardiograph can simultaneously monitor seven ECG vectors (I, II, III, aVR, aVL, aVF, and V). Recommended placement for a five-lead electrocardiograph is as follows.

• Place the RA (white) electrode below the patient's right clavicle, within the midclavicular line and rib cage.

• Place the LA (black) electrode below the patient's left clavicle, within the midclavicular line and rib cage.

• Place the LL (red) electrode in the patient's left lower abdomen, within the rib cage.

• Place the RL (green) electrode in the patient's right lower abdomen, within the rib cage.

• Place the V (brown) electrode in one of the V lead positions (V1 – V6) shown in the next section.
