The electrocardiograph printer paper is a dedicated consumable for the Fukuda FCP-2155 electrocardiograph. It is 6cm wide and is mainly used to record and display the waveforms of human cardiac electrical activity for medical staff to use for diagnosis and analysis.
The 6-centimeter width clearly accommodates waveforms from 10 or 12 leads. Patient ID, date and time, paper feed speed, sensitivity, and filter settings are printed at the top or bottom of the paper. The built-in coordinate grid on the paper facilitates precise measurements by doctors.
- Recording ECG Signals: Inside the machine, a thermal printhead converts the cardiac electrical signals acquired by the ECG machine into a visualized waveform.
- Assisting Medical Diagnosis: Doctors analyze the morphology, rhythm, intervals, amplitude, and other parameters of the printed waveform to determine if a patient has arrhythmias, myocardial ischemia or infarction, cardiac enlargement or hypertrophy, or other problems.
- Archiving and Medical Record Management: Printed ECGs can be archived as legal documents for disease tracking, pre- and post-treatment comparisons, and consultation references.
