Description

This replacement connector cable is an internal cable for the Biocare PM900 bedside patient monitor. It connects the motherboard and keyboard board to enable human-computer interaction and transmits control signals and data.

Functions:

1. When a physical key on the keyboard is pressed, the key signal is transmitted to the motherboard via this connection cable. The motherboard receives the signal, analyzes it, and executes the corresponding operation, which is then reflected on the host display screen, enabling the human-machine interface.

2. The motherboard can transmit system status information back to the keyboard via the connection cable, driving the indicator lights on the keyboard to update synchronously, allowing doctors to easily understand the monitor's operating status.

3. The motherboard continuously monitors the keyboard's operating status via the connection cable. If a connection abnormality is detected, the system will display a fault prompt, facilitating troubleshooting and repair by engineers.

How to replace the old cable?

1. Use a screwdriver to open the monitor's casing.

2. The mainboard is usually located in the middle or rear of the device, and the keyboard is below the front panel. Locate the connecting cables.

3. Press the connector latches and disconnect the plug to remove the old cable.

4. Insert the new cable into the connector using the original mounting interface, ensuring the latches are fully engaged.

5. Perform a power-on test on the machine, ensuring it is safe to do so.

6. After testing, reassemble the casing and tighten the screws to complete the replacement.
