Functions:

- When a patient's vital signs become abnormal, the motherboard generates an alarm signal and transmits it to the speaker via this connection. The speaker then emits a high-decibel beep or voice prompt to alert medical staff for immediate action.

- In monitoring mode, sound can be used to assist in assessing the patient's condition. When the patient's vital signs are normal, the speaker emits a regular beeping sound. When a special situation occurs, the speaker emits a sharp alarm sound.

- The monitor also generates sound feedback during routine operation. The motherboard can drive the speaker via this line to play these system prompts, assisting medical staff in their operations.

How to determine if a connection cable is damaged?

If the monitor's speaker has no sound, the alarm sounds are intermittent, the sound is distorted (hoarse), or only some alarm sounds are present while the key tones are absent, you can first check the audio driver circuit on the motherboard and the speaker's operation. If the motherboard and speaker are normal, then you can check the condition of the connection cable to determine if it is damaged and needs to be replaced.
