Description

The Biocare IM12 motherboard is responsible for data processing, display, and storage, while the VAG board is responsible for receiving weak, raw signals from the patient's body. This connection cable is mainly responsible for transmitting the amplified analog signals such as ECG and RESP acquired by the VAG board to the motherboard without loss for further digital processing and waveform display. It also transmits control signals from the motherboard, such as gain adjustment and filter mode switching (e.g., surgical mode, monitoring mode), ensuring that the VAG board can work as needed. It is the channel for information exchange and signal transmission.

If this connection cable malfunctions (e.g., broken, poor contact, or oxidized), it typically results in the following:

- Abnormal signal: The ECG waveform on the screen may show baseline drift, severe jitter, or no waveform at all, even though the leads and electrodes themselves have been tested and are intact.

- Functional failure: The respiratory monitoring function may malfunction, or heart rate readings may be inaccurate.

Installation is simple: Just unscrew the fixing screws, carefully open the monitor casing, locate the connection cable between the motherboard and the VGA board, unplug the old cable, and replace it with the new one. Note: All operations must be performed with the device completely powered off, and an anti-static wrist strap or gloves must be worn.
