► Brief Description
The EDAN F2 Fetal Monitor is designed specifically for obstetric monitoring and recording, enabling data recording via a printer. After monitoring the patient's physiological parameters, the data can be output through the f2's built-in thermal printer, simultaneously displaying and printing fetal movement curves and data. This intuitive and concise presentation of data to healthcare professionals facilitates their clinical judgment and decision-making.

► Function
The EDAN F2 Fetal Monitor's thermal printing component supports both US and international standard wide-format recording paper. It can simultaneously print continuous tracks and markings. Key features include:
1. Automatic Print Start: When enabled, the recorder automatically starts printing when a new monitoring session begins.
2. Print Timer: The print timer sets the duration for each print session.
3. Fast Print: The recorder prints data saved on the monitor at high speed (up to 15 mm/s).
4. Data Buffer: The recorder stops printing when the paper tray is empty or open. The data is temporarily stored in internal memory. When new paper is loaded and/or the paper tray is closed, the saved data is printed at high speed. After the saved track is finished printing, the recorder automatically switches back to normal speed to print the current data.
5. FHR2 Offset: You can set the offset of the FHR2 waveform to maintain a certain distance between the two fetal heart rate waveforms on the screen and the recording paper.
6. Print Self-Test: When the monitor is powered on, the recorder prints a baseline for self-testing.
7. Automatic paper feed: When printing stops, the paper will automatically move to the next perforation for easy tearing.
► Installation
The procedure for changing the printer paper on the Edan F2 monitor is as follows:
1. Preparation: Confirm that the new printer paper meets the requirements. Avoid using non-original or deteriorated paper.
2. Installation: Open the paper drawer, insert the new paper roll, ensuring the thermal side is facing up and correctly positioned left-right. Push the drawer firmly until the latch is in place.
► Troublesshooting
1. If the print is blurry, check the density settings or clean the thermal head.
2. If the paper moves but without a curve, it is usually because the thermal paper is installed backwards.
3. If a paper shortage message is displayed, try pushing the paper drawer back firmly.
