GE CARESCAPE E-sCAiO M1184092 Respiratory Module Used in Good Working Spare Part
GE CARESCAPE E-sCAiO M1184092 Respiratory Module Used
► Brief Description
The E-sCAiO M1184092 is a plug-and-play parameter module that primarily monitors the concentrations of CO₂, O₂, N₂O, and five commonly used halogenated anesthetics, automatically identifying the specific anesthetic. The E-sCAiO module employs sidestream measurement technology. It continuously draws gas samples from the patient's breathing circuit at a very low flow rate through a thin gas sampling tube, sending them into the module for analysis. The module does not directly contact the patient, reducing the risk of cross-infection and lightening the weight placed on the patient.
The E-sCAiO module can automatically identify anesthetic gases, even when two anesthetics are mixed. Although the module itself does not directly trigger sound or light alarms, it continuously monitors its own status and the sampling tubing. If it detects no breathing within 20 seconds, a dislodged or blocked sampling tubing, or abnormal sampling flow, it will immediately send a status signal to the monitor, which will then issue an alarm.

►Installation Steps:
1. Locate the Module Slot: Locate the available module slot on the side, top, or back of the CARESCAPE monitor.
2. Insert the Module: Align the guide rails of the E-sCAiO module with the grooves in the monitor's slot. Push the module horizontally into the slot with even force until it feels firmly locked in place. The front panel of the module should be flush with the monitor's casing without any gaps.
3. Connect the Sensor: Connect the disposable water trap to the module's air inlet. The water trap protects the module's interior from moisture and secretions from the patient's exhaled breath.
4. Power On and Self-Test:
The monitor will typically automatically recognize the newly inserted module.
Locate the parameter area corresponding to E-sCAiO on the monitor screen. It may display "Calibration in progress" or "Initialization".
►Warning:
1. Water Trap Orientation: Pay attention to the arrow direction on the water trap. Do not install it backwards; the arrow should generally point towards the module.
2. Prevent Liquid Backflow: If there is liquid at the patient end (or if humidified oxygen is being used), ensure the sampling tube is connected correctly and the water trap is functioning properly to prevent liquid from being directly drawn into the module and causing damage.
3.Tubing Blockage: Check the sampling tube for kinks, twists, or water accumulation, as these can cause abnormal waveforms or inaccurate readings.
