This green, metal board features interfaces, consumes 550 milliwatts, and measures approximately 3.13 inches x 3.83 inches. Its compact size makes it easy to integrate into the monitor, primarily assisting in blood oxygen monitoring. When the PRO1000 Patient Monitor incorporates a blood oxygenation module, the STP parameter board communicates with the OEM SpO₂ board via a UART port, acquiring SpO₂ data and sending it to the host system for real-time monitoring of the patient's SpO2 data.

SpO2 Monitoring Method

 

1. With the monitor powered on, connect the pulse oximeter sensor cable to the "SpO2" port on the monitor's main unit.

 

2. Clip the sensor onto the patient's index or middle finger, or other areas rich in capillaries. Ensure the light source and receiver inside the sensor are perfectly aligned, and that the light can penetrate the tissue. The lead wire usually runs along the back of the hand.

 

3. After the sensor is correctly fitted, the monitor will automatically begin monitoring and display the SpO2 value, pulse rate, and a waveform representing the pulse on the screen.

 

4. Continuously observe changes in the monitored values ​​and waveform. If any abnormalities or alarms are detected, address them promptly and record the findings.

 
5.After monitoring is complete, first remove the sensor from the patient's end, tidy up the lead wires, and finally turn off the monitor's power.
