Description

The M2736A is an ultrasound probe for fetal heart rate monitoring. It incorporates multiple piezoelectric ceramic crystals to generate a wide-angle ultrasound beam, covering a larger area of the pregnant woman's abdomen and preventing signal loss due to slight fetal movement, thus improving signal capture stability. The crystals utilize highly efficient piezoelectric materials to convert weak sound wave echoes into clear electrical signals, sensitively capturing faint fetal heartbeats in early pregnancy (usually after 12 weeks). It can operate in two modes: pulsed Doppler mode for precise positioning, or continuous wave Doppler for long-range monitoring with clear sound output. While ensuring high sensitivity, it consumes very little power, helping to extend battery life.

Functions:

- The crystal utilizes the inverse piezoelectric effect to convert electrical signals into ultrasonic waves for transmission, and then receives the echoes reflected from the fetal heart through the direct piezoelectric effect and converts them back into electrical signals; this is the core of the sound-to-electric conversion.

- The crystal's physical resonance characteristics give it a natural bandpass filtering function, which can suppress low-frequency noise such as maternal blood flow. It primarily responds to the frequency shift signal of the fetal heartbeat. Combined with the damping design of the encapsulation layer, a pure fetal heart sound can be obtained.

- The multi-crystal design creates physical redundancy. When the pregnant woman coughs or the fetus moves momentarily, at least some crystals can quickly recapture the signal, ensuring a stable monitoring baseline and reducing the risk of detachment alarms.
