Description

These 2 connecting cables are the grounding components of the EDAN CADENCE II fetal monitor. They ensure that in the event of a leakage current, the fault current can be quickly discharged to the ground through the ground wire, guaranteeing the safe operation of the device. The cable sheath is marked with the standard yellow-green ground wire color, has a high voltage resistance rating, and prevents the internal live wires from being exposed due to aging and wear. It can withstand high voltage in dielectric strength tests. The end connecting to the monitor uses a non-loosening socket and is secured to the dedicated grounding post on the housing with screws or nuts. This can withstand the pulling force when the monitor is moved. The metal surface of the terminal is nickel-plated or tin-plated to resist oxidation from disinfectants or humid environments, ensuring reliable long-term contact.

Functions:

- Protecting operators and pregnant women: If an insulation failure occurs in the monitor's internal power module, causing the metal casing to become electrified, the grounding wire will conduct the current to the earth, causing the leakage current circuit breaker to trip quickly.

- Stabilizing the signal baseline: The grounding wire forces the device's signal "ground" to be at the same potential as the earth, eliminating accumulated static electricity and significantly reducing baseline drift and power frequency interference on the screen.

- Discharging static electricity to prevent equipment damage: The grounding wire can quickly discharge the static charge accumulated on the casing to the ground, preventing electrostatic discharge from damaging sensitive electronic components such as the fetal monitoring parameter module on the motherboard.
