Description

The connection between the battery pack and power board of the EDAN CADENCE II fetal monitor is primarily responsible for handling high-current charging and discharging, as well as monitoring the battery's safety status. It's not simply two positive and negative wires; it includes multiple detection lines. A crucial one is the battery temperature detection line, directly connected to the thermistor inside the battery pack; another is the battery identification or power metering bus. The interface terminals have a strict foolproof design, physically ensuring that the positive and negative terminals cannot be reversed, preventing damage to the motherboard and ensuring safe use of the device.

Functions:

- When overheating is detected, the charging chip on the power board sends feedback via the connection cable, forcing the motherboard or charging chip to reduce the charging current or even stop charging, preventing battery bulging or fire.

- The motherboard and power board use logic to determine the AC power supply status. This connection cable is responsible for performing seamless switching, ensuring uninterrupted monitoring data and waveform recording.

- The power board draws additional current from the battery through this connection cable, allowing the battery and power adapter to work together to power the entire system, preventing system crashes or screen flickering due to insufficient power.
