The connection cable between the mainboard and the fetal monitoring board of the EDAN CADENCE II fetal monitor contains multiple independent wires, which are responsible for transmitting multiple signals such as fetal heart rate, uterine contraction pressure, and fetal movement markers, as well as powering the fetal monitoring board. The interfaces at both ends are precision connectors with locking clips, which can ensure good contact when the device is moved or vibrated, and prevent data loss or false alarms due to momentary power failure or signal interruption.

Functions:

- Power Supply and Isolation: The motherboard provides a stable low-voltage DC power supply to the fetal monitoring board via this line.

- Raw Signal Transmission and Analog-to-Digital Conversion: The weak Doppler signal acquired by the ultrasound probe is first amplified and filtered by the fetal monitoring board, and then transmitted to the analog-to-digital converter on the motherboard for digitization via this line.

- Control Commands: The motherboard issues commands (such as "adjust ultrasound power" or "switch probe") through this line, and the fetal monitoring board replies with its own operating status, fault codes, etc., for device synchronization and self-testing.
