Q1: Why does the cable look fine, but the buttons are still intermittently responsive?

A1: This is usually because a strand of the copper wire inside the cable is broken. The outer sheath may not be damaged, but the core inside is broken, causing intermittent signal transmission. Replacing the cable is recommended.

Q2: The cable insulation is broken; can I still use it by wrapping it with tape?

A2: It can be used temporarily as a temporary fix, but long-term use is not recommended. A broken insulation will remove insulation and shielding, easily causing signal interference, short circuits, or even damaging the motherboard. Replace the cable immediately.

Q3: I connected a different cable myself, but all the button functions are messed up. Why is that?

A3: This is because the wiring sequence is incorrect. Each colored wire in this cable has a fixed function. Connecting the wrong wire will cause the signal to be transmitted to the wrong place, resulting in malfunctioning buttons. It is recommended to replace it with an original manufacturer's cable.
