The Power Management Board to Battery Board Wiring Harness (Part No. 009-000556-00_A) is a specialized OEM cable assembly designed exclusively for the Comen STAR8000C multi-parameter patient monitor. This harness serves as the critical energy transmission link between the monitor‘s power management board (Part No. 050-000192-00 / Model CMP2D8A.20097) and the internal lithium battery board, handling both power delivery and real-time battery status feedback.

This wiring harness directly determines battery charging/discharging stability, the accuracy of remaining battery capacity data, and the overall performance of the monitor‘s backup power system.

Removing the Old Wiring

Inspect and document the routing and connector orientation of the existing wiring harness. Connectors on the power management board side are typically labeled and have a foolproof design. Battery board connectors are usually located on the right edge of the board. Gently press down any locking tabs or latches, then pull the connector straight out, without pulling on the wires. Remove it from any cable clips or channels along the cable path, then remove the old wiring harness from the chassis.

Installing the New Wiring

Place the new 009-000556-00_A wiring harness in place, routing the cable along the original path. The connector has a foolproof design to ensure it can only be inserted in the correct orientation. First, insert the designated end into the power management board socket, pressing firmly until you hear a click. Then, connect the other end to the battery board, again ensuring it is fully inserted. Tuck the wiring harness into the existing cable clips to prevent squeezing or interfering with other components.

Precautions for Use

1. This wiring harness should only be serviced by trained biomedical technicians. The power management board and battery board are part of the high-voltage circuitry inside the monitor. Only qualified personnel may open the monitor and operate the internal components.

2. Always completely disconnect the system before operation. Before disconnecting or connecting the wiring harness, turn off the monitor power, unplug the AC power cord, and remove the built-in battery. Residual charge in the power capacitors may cause and damage to electronic components.
