►Rear Cover Main Interfaces and Functions
1. Power Input Interface
A power socket is located on the back of the rear cover for connecting to AC power. The CADENCE II supports a wide AC voltage input of 100–240V, adapts to a power frequency of 50/60Hz, and has a power rating of 60VA.
2. Network and Data Communication Interface
The rear cover integrates RS-485/RS-232 communication ports and a DB9 interface. Through these interfaces, the monitor can interconnect with the MFM-CNS obstetric central monitoring system and can also connect to a wireless network module for wireless data transmission. Collected and stored data can be analyzed and printed on a PC using CADENCE Insight software.
3. Battery Compartment
A battery compartment is located at the bottom of the rear cover for installing an optional lithium-ion battery module. The battery compartment has a separate cover secured with a single screw. The cover design allows users to quickly install and replace the battery without disassembling the entire casing.
►Cleaning and Routine Maintenance Requirements
1. When cleaning the outer casing, use only non-corrosive detergents, such as soapy water. The screen is more sensitive and should be gently wiped with a dry, soft cloth.
2. Always disconnect the AC power and unplug all accessories before cleaning. Never immerse the device in water or allow liquid to seep into the casing.
3. Before each use, the user should perform a visual inspection to ensure that the device, cables, and probes are free from visibly damaged. If damage or aging is found, replace the relevant parts immediately or contact EDAN for repair; do not continue to use the device.
It is recommended that a qualified person perform a comprehensive inspection of the monitor every 6 to 12 months, including a safety and functional check. If the back cover is structurally damaged, it must be repaired or replaced by a professional technician authorized by Edan.
