Comen STAR8000C Patient Monitor Alarm Speaker Accessory Replacement
Comen STAR8000C Patient Monitor Alarm Speaker Accessory Replacement
Product Description
This built in speaker unit is an original, factory supplied audio accessory, custom-tailored specifically for the Comen STAR8000C multi-parameter patient monitor. As the core audio output component of the device's alarm system, it is responsible for converting electro-acoustic signals into clear audible cues, thereby supporting daily clinical monitoring operations. Healthcare professionals rely entirely on this speaker to receive timely real-time alerts from the device, as well as warnings regarding changes in a patient's condition, during rounds and continuous bedside monitoring.
Functions
All audio feedback from the patient monitor is output through this speaker unit. It provides real-time audible alerts regarding physiological parameter abnormalities, including ECG, SpO2, NIBP, and other vital signs, enable medical personnel to respond rapidly to changes in a patient's condition.
Furthermore, it is responsible for playing system notifications, key-press tones, and device malfunction alerts. With its comprehensive audio interaction capabilities, this unit complements the on-screen visual prompts, collectively establishing a dual-mechanism warning system for clinical monitoring.
Disassembly Steps
Power off the patient monitor completely and disconnect the external power supply to eliminate circuit safety risks. Remove the monitor battery and loosen the fixing screws of the side panel and parameter chassis to expose the internal speaker assembly. Unscrew the two fixing bolts on the speaker bracket, then unplug the speaker connecting wire gently by holding the connector base. Remove the old speaker unit and clean dust and debris from the mounting area.
Installation Steps
Inspect the new speaker for intact diaphragm, undamaged wiring and complete bracket structure before installation. Align the new speaker with the original mounting position and fasten the fixing screws evenly to ensure stable fixation. Reconnect the audio cable firmly to avoid poor contact. Reinstall the side panel and battery in place, power on the device and test all alarm sounds and key prompts. Normal and clear audio output confirms successful installation.
Notice
1. All disassembly and installation operations must be performed with the device fully powered off to prevent short circuits and audio circuit burnout.
2. Never pull or twist the speaker connecting wire forcibly during operation. Excessive force will damage internal wiring and cause intermittent sound failure.
3. Avoid touching or squeezing the speaker diaphragm randomly. Extrusion deformation will lead to permanent sound distortion and volume attenuation.
4. Keep the speaker and internal wiring away from liquid and dust accumulation. Humidity and dirt will affect sound quality and accelerate component aging.
