Introduction

The Mindray ePM 10C is a compact, multi-parameter bedside patient monitor from Mindray's ePM series. It's designed for continuous monitoring of adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients in hospital settings such as general wards, ICUs, emergency departments, and operating rooms.

The ePM 10C features a fanless, portable design with a capacitive touchscreen. The "C" in the model name indicates a specific configuration variant the differences between ePM 10/10A/10C models include the base, rear cover color, and work mode, while all other hardware and software remain the same.

Monitors parameters

• The ePM 10C tracks ECG (3-lead, 5-lead, 6-lead, or 12-lead selectable) with arrhythmia detection
• ST segment analysis, QT/QTc analysis, and heart rate.
• It monitors respiration rate (Resp), temperature (Temp), pulse oxygen saturation (SpO₂), pulse rate (PR), non-invasive blood pressure (NIBP), and invasive blood pressure (IBP). Optional parameters include cardiac output (C.O.), carbon dioxide (CO₂), oxygen (O₂), AG , bispectral index (BIS), and neuromuscular transmission monitoring (NMT).

Connecting patient sensors

Attach the ECG leads to the patient and connect them to the monitor.

Apply the SpO₂ sensor to the patient's finger (or other appropriate site).

Wrap the NIBP cuff around the patient's upper arm at heart level.

Connect the temperature probe(s) for temperature monitoring.

For optional parameters (IBP, CO₂, etc.), connect the appropriate modules

Starting monitoring

1. Power on the monitor.

2. Select the appropriate patient category (adult, pediatric, or neonatal).

3. Verify that all parameter waveforms and numeric data are displayed.

4. Set alarm limits as appropriate for the patient's condition.

5. The monitor will begin continuous real-time monitoring.

Keep in Mind

• Use only Mindray-approved accessories. Using non-approved parts or accessories may affect measurement accuracy, compromise patient safety, and void the warranty.
• Position the monitor correctly. Place the monitor on a stable, flat surface with adequate ventilation. Ensure the power cord and patient cables are not stretched or pinched.
• Select the correct patient category. The monitor supports adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients. Selecting the wrong category can affect alarm limits and measurement accuracy.
• Do not rely exclusively on the audible alarm system. Visual monitoring of the patient and the monitor display is also essential.
• Keep the monitor clean. The fanless design helps reduce dust accumulation, but the exterior should still be wiped regularly with a soft, damp cloth. Disconnect the power before cleaning.
