The Penlon Prima 451 MRI is a compact anesthesia workstation designed specifically for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) environments. The Prima 451 boasts a powerful core configuration, including an integrated AV-S ventilator and an A200SP absorber. It features a dual-station Selectatec-compatible backplane, fully compliant with ISO 80601-2-13 standards and the Hazardous Substances Restriction Directive.
It is GCX-compatible, and the top-mount system securely mounts patient monitors. The entire unit features a fully enclosed chassis, with drawer units available as an option. It also includes cylinder and tubing gas supply interfaces for plug-and-play operation and increased efficiency.

When using this device in an MRI environment, the following safety guidelines must be strictly observed:
- System Integrity: The Prima 451 MRI must be used as a complete system in the MRI environment.
- Do Not Use Heated Absorption Canisters: Never use the A200SP absorption canister with a heating device; use the MRI-specific model without a heater.
- Lock Casters: The casters must be locked when the machine is stationary in the MRI scanning room. An unlocked machine may move unexpectedly due to magnetic force, affecting imaging or causing danger.
- Use Non-Magnetic Cylinders: Steel gas cylinders are strictly prohibited in the MRI room; only dedicated non-magnetic gas cylinders must be used.
- Dr ug Administration Safety: When administering druugs to the vaporizer in the MRI room, use anestheti druug containers and druug administration adapters clearly labeled as MRI-specific.
