Introduction

The Mindray Nuewa series is a family of premium, women's health-focused color Doppler ultrasound systems. Launched under the Chinese name Nüwa, the series was developed to address the full spectrum of women's healthcare needs—from gynecology and reproductive medicine through pregnancy and postpartum recovery.

The series is built on Mindray's proprietary ZST+ domain imaging platform, which processes raw channel data rather than conventional beamformed signals. This approach overcomes the traditional trade-offs between spatial resolution, temporal resolution, and tissue uniformity, delivering exceptional image quality across the entire field of view.

Functions

Delivers exceptional image quality through the ZST+ platform. By moving from conventional beamforming to channel-data-based processing, the ZST+ platform produces images with higher spatial resolution, better temporal resolution, and more uniform tissue characterisation across the entire field.

Automates complex workflows with Smart Scene 3D. The system can automatically identify tissue characteristics and adapt the imaging parameters accordingly. In obstetric screening, for example, Smart Planes CNS can automatically acquire the four standard fetal brain planes (MSP, TCP, TTP, TVP) and measure six key parameters (BPD, HC, OFD, TCD, CM, LVW) with a single click.

The dual wing floating arm allows flexible monitor positioning, and the 26dB super silent design ensures a quiet, comfortable working environment. Up to 4 hours of battery-powered scanning supports bedside examinations without power cables.

Operating steps

1. Select the appropriate clinical application preset (obstetric, gynaecology, fertility, postpartum, neonatal).

2. Select the appropriate transducer for the examination.

3. Apply ultrasound gel to the transducer and begin scanning.

4. Use the touchscreen or iConsole intelligent control panel to adjust imaging parameters as needed.

5. For automated functions, select the appropriate Smart Scene 3D application—the system will automatically identify tissue characteristics, 6. 6. 6. optimise imaging parameters, and perform the required measurements.

7. After the examination, save the images and measurements, generate the report, and export data as required.

Precautions

Use only Mindray-approved sensors and accessories. Using unapproved components may affect image quality, diagnostic accuracy, and patient safety, and will void the warranty.

Handle the system with care during transport. When transporting the folded system, ensure all components are securely fastened and the system is properly placed in the transport case or vehicle. Avoid dropping or subjecting the system to sudden impacts.

Maintain suitable environmental conditions. The system should operate within the specified temperature and humidity range. Avoid using the system in dusty, humid, or directly sunlight-exposed environments.

Follow infection control protocols. Clean and disinfect the sensor and system components according to the manufacturer's instructions and your institution's infection control policy. Use only approved cleaning agents compatible with the system materials.
